Cross River Mall Guide

Cross River Mall parking, cabs and buses: reaching the mall by road

The metro is the easiest way to reach Cross River Mall for most people, but families with children, groups coming from Ghaziabad and anyone heading home late often prefer the road. This guide covers driving and parking, app cabs and autos, and buses. For the metro, see our separate guide to the nearest metro station.

Where the mall is on the road map

Cross River Mall stands on Maharaja Surajmal Marg in CBD Shahdara, between Karkardooma to the south and Vishwas Nagar and Shahdara to the north. The address is usually written as Vishwas Nagar Extension, Shahdara, Delhi 110032. Typing "Cross River Mall" into any map app gets you to the right building; the challenge is the traffic on the approach, not finding it.

Driving there

From central Delhi

Most drivers cross the Yamuna on the ITO side and continue east along Vikas Marg through Laxmi Nagar and Preet Vihar, then turn north towards Karkardooma and CBD Shahdara. Vikas Marg is slow at peak hours; on weekday evenings expect stop-start traffic from the river onwards.

From Noida

From Noida, routes usually run through Mayur Vihar and then north through Patparganj or along the Pink Line corridor towards Anand Vihar and Karkardooma. Use a live-traffic map, because the best route changes with the time of day.

From Ghaziabad (Kaushambi, Vaishali, Indirapuram)

Drivers coming from the Ghaziabad side typically enter Delhi near Anand Vihar and head west towards Karkardooma. The roads around the Anand Vihar bus terminal and railway station are among the most congested in the area; avoid them during the evening rush if you can.

Parking at the mall

The mall has basement parking; Housing.com describes a two-level basement with space for more than 700 vehicles. Charges, payment methods and closing times are set by the mall's management and change from time to time, so check the signs at the entry barrier rather than relying on older online posts.

App cabs and autos

App-based cabs and autos are the simplest door-to-door option, especially late at night. A few tips:

Buses

DTC and cluster buses run along Maharaja Surajmal Marg and the surrounding roads, and a bus terminal near the CBD Shahdara ground appears on map services a few minutes from the mall. Route numbers and timings change, so use the official Delhi transport apps or live map data for current routes. Pay attention to the stop name; several stops in the area carry "Vishwas Nagar", "Karkardooma" or "CBD" in the name.

E-rickshaws from the metro

If you came by metro but do not want to walk the last kilometre, e-rickshaws wait outside Karkarduma and Karkarduma Court stations. They are quick and cheap for this distance. Share-rides are common; if you want the vehicle to yourself, say so and agree the price first.

These are general patterns, not measurements. Festivals, cricket matches and wedding season can change them completely.

Accessibility

If someone in your group uses a wheelchair or has limited mobility, a cab drop-off at the main entrance is usually easier than the walk from the metro. Ask the security desk at the entrance about lifts to the cinema and food court levels.

Coming from the Anand Vihar transport hub

Many visitors reach East Delhi by long-distance bus at Anand Vihar ISBT or by train at Anand Vihar Terminal. From there the mall is a short road trip west. An app cab or auto is the simplest option with luggage. Without luggage, the Pink Line from Anand Vihar to Karkarduma Court is two stops and avoids the traffic around the terminals completely.
